In June of 2024 Parker Bowles (Ministry Director – The Rig)  asked Sam if he would ever consider applying to be part of the Youth for Christ team and serving in the ministry of The Rock. Sam responded with “well I’m okay at climbing and I love the Lord. If He wants me there then yeah I’ll pray about it.”  In September he was hired as a Program Coordinator for The Rock, and has begun his Ministry Partner Development.

Sam has been involved with serving in youth ministry for many seasons of his life. Having served at various camps, at Steinbach YFC while a student at Steinbach Bible College, and more recently as a youth leader for the high school kids at his home church. He is excited to minister and disciple those around him, leading others through servant leadership closer to God.

When Sam isn’t at YFC or Anchor Point you can find him making pour-over coffee at home, or bouldering at the Hive, or at his parents house eating their food.
