Melat transitioned from her role as the Young Parents’ Assistant Director at YFC Toronto to be a Senior Ministry Director overseeing the Community Youth Ministers here at YFC Winnipeg in January 2022.

With a passion to lead and encourage others, Melat was able to come alongside four of our Community Youth Ministers and support them in their ministries throughout various communities in Winnipeg. After much discernment and ministry shift during a maternity leave, she came back pleased to step into her new role as Senior Director of Personnel.

Melat is excited to be able to use her ministry experience and spiritual gifts to create and implement the required systems to ensure that the HR department runs effectively, and, in turn, that our staff are equipped with the proper policies and procedures to continue to reach the youth in our city for Christ.
